Managing Draft Trips
How to save, edit, and publish draft trips before making them visible to operators.
What is a Draft?
A draft trip is a trip that has been saved but not yet published. Draft trips are:
- Not visible to any bus operators
- Freely editable — no restrictions on changes
- Not committed — you can delete them without any consequence
Creating a Draft
On the trip creation form, click Save as Draft instead of Publish. The trip is saved with status DRAFT and appears in your trips list marked as a draft.
Editing a Draft
Click on any draft trip to open it for editing. All fields are editable — change any detail freely. Click Save to update the draft.
Publishing a Draft
When you're ready to open the trip for bids, open the draft and click Publish. The trip transitions from DRAFT to ACTIVE and becomes visible to operators.
Publishing is immediate — the trip becomes visible to operators as soon as you click Publish. If your bidding window has a future "opens at" time, operators will see the trip but cannot bid until the window opens.
Deleting a Draft
From your trips list, open a draft and click Delete. Drafts can be deleted at any time with no side effects — no notifications are sent to operators.
Draft Limitations
Drafts cannot be awarded, contracted, or shared. All bidding, awarding, and contract flow requires a published (ACTIVE) trip.
Use drafts to prepare trips in advance. You can create drafts weeks ahead of time and publish them when you're ready to receive bids.
