Roles & Access
Understand what each team role can do within the Trip Owner portal.
Overview
MXBS uses four roles to control what team members can see and do. Roles are set when a member is invited and can be changed at any time by an Admin.
Role changes take effect immediately
When you change a team member's role, the new permissions apply the moment you save. If they are mid-task — for example, composing a message — they may lose access to that feature without warning.
Permission Table
| Action | Admin | Manager | Dispatcher | Viewer |

| Invite/remove team members | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |

Role Descriptions
Admin
Full access to every feature in the Trip Owner portal, including team management and billing. Admins can invite and remove members, change roles, update payment methods, and access account settings. The original account creator is always an Admin and this designation cannot be removed.
Manager
Designed for staff who own the trip-booking workflow end to end. Managers can post and edit trips, review incoming bids, shortlist operators, award contracts, and sign documents. They do not have access to team management or billing.
Dispatcher
For staff who coordinate logistics without bidding authority. Dispatchers can view all trips and their bids, and send messages to operators on active threads. They cannot post trips, shortlist or award bids, or sign contracts.
Viewer
Read-only access to all trips, bids, and contracts. Viewers can browse every record in the portal but cannot take any action. Useful for stakeholders who need visibility without the ability to make changes.
Changing a Role
- Go to Team in the left sidebar.
- In the Active Members table, click the role badge next to the member's name.
- Select the new role from the dropdown.
- The change saves automatically and takes effect immediately.
Only Admins can change roles. An Admin cannot change their own role.
